This site is the snowball effect of working in horticulture with a focus in natural resources: an obsession with insects. It started with moths and then it was

open season on everything, although moths are the main focus.

The vast majority of insects are from Wayne, IL where I live. I wanted to track the changes in insect diversity as I cleared invasive plant species and reintroduced natives. Since then our property has been certified through the Conservation@Home through the Conservation Foundation.

BugGuide and iNat whether they be pros, volunteers, students, or hardcore hobbyists.
